On June 12, 2016, a 29-year-old, killed 49 people and wounded 53 more in a mass shooting inside Pulse, a nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

After learning about the horrific tragedy, it was important for us to demonstrate the spirit of love, and share our support for our friends and colleagues of the LGBT community.

Upon arrival in Orlando, we shared a beautiful, ‘gigantic’ card with the community, signed by hundreds of supporters who were also deeply saddened by the event.  We also spent time at the memorial sites, which allowed us to learn more about the victims, support their family members, and join with other community supporters to understand  how we could work together and bring a spirit of peace and solidarity.
